Reflection
Work meant to be taken in slowly.
Our Philosophy of Reflection
Reflection is where Serengrete holds writing that asks for attention rather than reaction.
This is not meant to be consumed quickly. There is no pressure to keep up and no expectation that you read everything. The pieces here are structured for return.
Essays primarily, with occasional photography and other forms when the work calls for them. Some pieces are recent. Some are older. They remain here because they still hold weight and still speak honestly to the experience of building something while trying to remain present in your own life.
Work isn't organized by urgency or popularity. It's kept because it endures.
If you're used to living at speed, producing, responding, and optimizing, Reflection offers a counter to that posture. You can read one piece and leave. You can return to the same piece over months or years. There is no correct way to read here. The value usually reveals itself over time.

Key Elements of Our Approach to Study
Essays
Long-form writing on ambition without becoming hollow, building things that last, family life alongside work, the operator's life, and the texture of a life that holds together under pressure.
Poems
Pieces from earlier and current seasons. They're included because poetry sometimes says what analysis can't, and because some of these still tell the truth.
Visual Notes
Photographs and occasional short pieces meant for still attention. Some things are better seen than explained.
